After I posted the last one, I took a bunch of photos of the old books and some other projects I have done. Then I was gone to my parents , since my mom had a surgery and she told me she missed me so much. So I was out of country for 8 days. And, I needed time to rest again and recover from the jet lag and some.
Now I feel that I could have some energy to edit photos and update post.
This is the pile of the old music books which I bought from a lady through the craigslist. These belonged to her grandmother who was a pianist and a teacher.
I could find some beautiful fonts and art from the covers like below.
Look at these faded brown and wrinkled papers of the old books. I love it!
These are the books I bought from the local library for 50cents a each.
Here is the art I did quickly on the book page. I uesed a micron pen and acrylic paints. It was my first self potrait.
Mainly I want to use these old books for making art, like paintings on old book pages. I have to practice hard to get a satisfied one, but if I do what I love to do, that is not work anymore.
